Me at 18 in Seattle

Posted by Jennadea (New York, United States) on 23 October 2006 in People & Portrait.

When I moved to Seattle in '88, I got a job in a camera shop dowtown and started taking more pictures than ever before. I got discounts on developing and could even borrow the equipment! My boss, who became a dear friend, and I would grab a coupl'a cameras, go out on weekends and cruise around the city taking tons of pictures. We would also, as he would say, "Shoot the Shit" all afternoon over many beers in our favorite dive bar. This is my beloved Olympus Om1, a gift that I later would lose to thieves in a 'green bar' in Amsterdam, one of my greatest heartbreaks.
